Bringing wonderful music to the North Houston community.
Symphony North of Houston is a community-based orchestra composed of a very special group of classical musicians, which include teachers, homemakers, engineers, lawyers, bankers, and many other professionals that enjoy playing classical music.
In addition to performing five concerts at Salem Lutheran Church in Tomball, Texas, Symphony North has consistently supported the young artists of Houston by sponsoring a yearly Young Artist Competition. Each year the winning performers have the opportunity to perform a concerto with Symphony North.
Attend a Concert
Symphony North performs musical selections for every kind of listener. Music is selected with care by the conductor and a rotating group of orchestra musicians. Find out when our next concert is, and what we will be playing!
Sponsor-A-Chair
Sponsor-A-Chair is a signature giving program. As a sponsor, you have the opportunity to choose a specific instrument (based on availability), receive special program recognition, and invitation to special events where you can meet and get to know the musician holding the chair you have sponsored. This program provides an opportunity to know more about the orchestra from the inside out and to draw a closer connection between the players and the audience.
Young Artist Competition
Symphony North’s Young Artist Competition is open to primary or secondary education students who are 19 years or younger during the current school year and reside in the Greater Houston area. Applications are to be submitted online. The winners of the competition will perform their selection with the orchestra on the final concert of the season.
